Summer almost over?

Summer is almost over & i live in a basement suite, which is pretty cool. now that winter is coming I always feel so cold even when I turn the heat up, I just can,t get warm, even with my hot water bottle, am I lacking in somethig that keeps the body warm. thanks for serios answers.

You just seem to be living in an area that has some challenges.  Have you tried a dehumidifier?  We use one in our basement and it always seems warmer when it's going.

You may also want to consider getting an under area rug heater like the one from the site listed below.  Since heat rises it makes sense to have your heaters as low as possible.

Have you tried drinking hot tea or milk?

How about warming towels in the microwave and putting them on your hands , feet and head since that is where most of the body heat is lost from.
