Summer and winter monsoon?

help! my final year project presentation is coming up and i need to know the timeline of the winter and summer monsoon

There are really no monsoonal seasons in the USA.  Rainy periods but definitely not moonsonal in nature.

I know of the summertime monsoon that occurs over southeast Asia typically in the June through September time period that brings pronounced rainfall over India into southeast Asia.  Then in December through March the winter monsoon occurs when the wind flow typically switches to northeasterly and brings a pronounced dry period to that area.

I'm a met.student and I haven't heard of the winter monsoon.  I know how monsoon processes work so if you edit and tell me where you think the winter monsoon is, please let me know and I will try and answer.  My guess is it's somewhere deep in the tropics.  Let me know!
