Summer college programs?

Im in 9th grade now and im hope that i could look at some college courses for next summer. im really interestied into american and ancient history i actually want ot be an archeologist i would probally (sorry for spelling) do it for like ancient stuff like ancient china, that kinda stuff becasue im learning that now but i just would like to know if theres any college courses for me

  1. Ask your counselor if your school offers any web based college classes, correspondance courses or there is one more that I cannot think of the name, but it is a Video Conference Class. Most of these classes are offered through Community Colleges but the credits can transfer to a University!

  2. While you're still not eligible to do college-based programs, there are a few schools that offer "pre-college summer courses" which are designed for high school students like you. One of them is the Academy of Art University in San Fran, CA. Here's the website: www.academyart.edu. You can even do an 'online' course.

  3. You can't take college course in 9th grade, though they might make a provision for exceptionally intelligent kids who have counselors recommendations.. You are ambitious.  Keep it up.

  4. Most colleges offer Advanced Placement courses/programs for high schoolers. You may be a little too young to enroll, though (at least in programs that involve international travel).
