  1. How about vacation bible schools? A lot of churches have them and they are generally free and at different times. I'd also check out your local parks and recreation to see what kind of programs they have. Sometime there are free magic shows, etc. Does your library have a summer reading club with prizes, etc? Also kids museums, the zoo, water parks. Sometimes there are discount coupons for these. If you have the time and the money you could head to the Jersey shore. That would be fun.

  2. How many weeks does that really leave? I think kids need downtime in the summer.  Let her spend lazy afternoons playing in the yard or at the park or biking or rollerblading or at the pool or at friends' houses or having friends over.  Or reading a book or building a marble track or drawing pictures or playing pretend....  It's fine to do little day trips from time to time, but kids don't need an official "activity" all the time.

My kids (including a 7- and 8-year-old) do 2 weeks of day camp in the summer, and usually one or two long weekends of trips.  Beyond that, they play in the sprinkler, play a lot with friends, go to the pool, ride bikes, and generally entertain themselves.  I think it's time well spent.

  3. live the steam... naah, im jokin, umm, in FILLIE, i herd u can ummm... is there like a skating rink there because i live in NY

  4. Well your daughter can play with her friends over the summer or go to the local pool to cool off. You can also take your daughter to the mall, you know to look around--have some ice cream. There are lots u can do

  5. Well I am sure you have done all of the historic things in Philidelphia, but why don't you take a road trip somewhere else. I would reccomend Boston-great historic places, adorable shops, new england vibe, College town, yummy restaurants etc. DC- take a tour of the white house, go to the spy museum, the holocaust museum, the place where they make money, Williamsburg- this place sort of pretends to be colonial. They have great history, a lot of fun, and an amusement park., Canada- Niagra falls is great fun, Quebec and montreal- you will feel like your in Europe , NYC- stay at a hotel right in town- see broadway shoes, visit all the cheesy tourist attractions, go to the museums, the fun restaurants, central park, Salem Mass- almost like being in boston! Learn about the salem witch trials, go to the shops etc.. or Cape cod- I can't say it has a lot of historical tourism but it is beautiful, cute shops, go to nantucket or martha's vineyard, beaches, ice cream etc. All are very fun and I have taken my family to them all. Hope this helps!
