okay, so my parents want me to get a job for the summer they say they dont care what i do as long as im busy, so its not liek im really getting a job because i need the money, but extra cash is always nice.

i live in the tristate area (nj), what are some jobs i could get around here? i want something fun, nothing boring and i really would prefer not to be a waitress.

what i reallly want to do is go to ireland and work there, this is the only foriegn country i would be allowed to work in because i have family over there.

what jobs could a 17 year old american get in ireland? im willing to do pretty much anything as it would be an amazing experience. however i wouldnt be able to work in dublin bc i dont really have any family there.

please give me ideas my dad said i need to come up with like five different options of a job for the summer. i know its early but if i have to convince them to let me work overseas i need time, thanks soo much!

srry its so long

  4. ''Ireland has an extremely high unemployment rate right now''. this isnt true at all!!!! you'd want to apply for summer jobs well in advance and your best options might be retail, food service or factory work (in a place like the IDA)

    good luck

  5. I'm not sure about working in Ireland but around in north america their are so many summer camps going on and a camp councilor is a great job, as long as you dont mind working with kids, I mean you get to choose overnight camps or day camps, and you can wok at camps ith your strengths, like dance, or sports, or art or math or whatever you like.

    Hope that helped <3

  6. you could be a camp counselor and since you would be from different country the camp might like that.

  7. intercristo or world vision may have something for you

    maybe even peacecore

if that doesn't work you can keep dreamin buddy =P

  8. Ireland has an extremely high unemployment rate right now so your selections will be slim. I say anything you can get.

  9. wel you can get a job in lik a shop, supermarket easily enough at 17 except it would be important that u came over early in the summer as summer jobs can go really easlily with all the students, you should find out what part of ireland your going to like whet town and the send some places your CV a few weeks before you arrive, you need to be in Ireland in late may/early june to have a better chance of getting a job, glock
