Summer job for teen?

Question

Hi. I'm 17 and I'm trying to find a summer job. I live in a small town in NY (close to the city) so it's been pretty hard finding a job. I want to make money, but will do volunteer work if worst comes to worst. Any ideas?

Also - I'm interested in babysitting. I've been using care.com and sittercafe.com to get my name out, but its going slowly. Any other ideas to get my name out? Any websites?
