where can a 12-13 year old get a job?? I'm a very fast typer, one of the smartest kids in my grade, and i am very responsible. i'm also in really good shape so if the job requires running around at all, i'm able to do that. i also don't really want to do babysitting or like mowing the lawn and bake sales and stuff. i live in CA by the way. also, someone suggested i work as a golf caddy. if anyone knows a website that offers jobs 2 13 year olds that is located near simi valley, plz send the link!!! thx for the help!!

  1. Try getting a job at a local day camp

  2. most people dont offer jobs to 12/13 year olds. 15 is usually the youngest so i dont know. babysitting might be the thing you have to do. its not THAT terrible, just bring an ipod, book, cell phone, etc.

  3. babysitting

    yard work

i cant think of ne thing else sorry......h/i/h [ :

  4. I mow lawns for money.

  5. I am 12 years old and i also learned that starting your own business is a quick and legal way to make money

  6. Well, I'm thirteen too,

Currently I'm volunteering at the L.A. library it seems to be the only jobs that we are able to get. In order to get a real job you need to be at least sixteen. Just three more years.

  7. unfortunately by law you cant get a job until you are 15 but there are other jobs you can do like. Baby sit. or you can get a paper rout. or even do yard work for people.

  8. there isnt any i was 13 to and now im 15 and there really isnt many jobs out there till your 16+ ive been looking i live in the valley now i type twice as fast as before still it doesnt help :\ its all about the age

  9. Babysitting, get a job at the local deli or something.

  10. I would check out summer camps in your area - there are lots that hire young teens as counselors.

  11. there is no legal way you can get a job.

babysitting is the only way to go

  12. Well, you cant get a job unless you babysit or run erans, you can get a job when your at least 16, that job is working at a supermarket by bagging food.

  13. Well, you have a computer.. so check out some of the online jobs, such as letterrep.com or look in your search engine for cha cha guides.. the pay isn't great on those.. You could babysit, and you could go to a few garage sales.. buy stuff that people would like to buy..and resell for more on Ebay.. You could grow fruits or vegetables like watermelons and sale your produce. Go to a hobby shop and buy supplies to make candles or bracelets, and sell them either in a garage sale, along with other junk or online. If you had an adult to help you, you could look for scrap metal and cans to sell. You could try to contact your local Avon representative, and see if you could sell for them.. I don't know if they care about age.. If you are good at something such as playing an instrument or a sport, you could charge people for lessons.. just advertise in the thrifty nickel.. Just use your imagination, there aren't that many "normal" jobs for 13 year olds, but you have alot of possibilities. I was a volunteer when I was 15 for a church daycare center. Volunteer work is worth alot to your future, even though you don't get paid. Volunteering at hospitals, nursing homes, or delivering meals for S.N.A.P. are all things that you would be able to write down on your job application later in life.. so that way when you're 16 it won't be blank.. It would give you an edge. I like the idea of getting paid to do what you like though. Sorry that I'm not a 13 year old.. twice as old, but I hope you don't mind an old ladies ideas. I think it's cool that you actually care.. When I was 13, all I cared about was going swimming and vacation.. and mindlessly watching t.v. for hours on end.. so your off to a good start!! Good luck.

  14. so far the only jobs that allow 13 year olds in my area are tim hortons and mcdonalds as cashiers. you could work at the library, but thats all. sorry

  15. yeah well i cant even find a summer job and im 16... but hey i do live in Y-town

  16. Babysitting if you not looking for money then ther's voluntiring at summr camps animal shelters, adn well just look at the board in wal mart and ther's a lot of jobs up there good luck
