Summer knits?

Question

I need something fun to knit this summer and I don't know what. I don't want to do anything knick-knacky or decorative. Keep in mind that I'm a teenager so it has to be something fun and maybe a bit funky. I'm about an intermediate when it comes to skill. I already made myself a bag that is totally awesome but I need more! Any suggestions?

Etsy.com has some great handmade patterns for stuff, most are really inexpensive. You could just browse there to come up with some ideas -- it's all handmade and there is plenty of unique stuff on there!
