Summer projects for 10 year olds? 10 points for best answer!?

my lil' sister is 10 but has the iq of like an 8th grader. what are some summer projects she could do? She just signed with a select soccer team( TFC ) so she's really into sports and working out. she loves music and will do just about anything but art( drawing, painting). she cant sit still very long, but if she has to sit down she wants something that will make her really think.please help!!

  1. maybe sodoku puzzles.  you can get a book of them at the dollar store and they will make her think.  what about any other just regular puzzle?

Wow, can you afford to buy a second-hand instrument of some type, like a clarinet, a trumpet--and either help her get some lessons, or let her experiment on her own?  Also, our local middle school publishes a summer math and reading challenge online for kids to work on during the summer--perhaps her future middle school has something similar?   Can you help her plant and grow a garden?  Our local YMCA camp often lets "junior" counselors work short term assignments to gain experience working with other kids.  And finally, our local Vo-Ed center has summer classes for students, featuring things like Lego robotics.

    Hopefully, these ideas will get you started for your sis!
