Question

What is the referee saying, or what is the sound he is making? Its kinda like dudalut dudalut, phonetically I mean. And why does he make the sound?

if it's the sound i'm thinking of - the refs vary in how they do it, it's an encouragement - like, "do it!" or something along those lines.
