Sun's position July and August?

I'm building a house near Sudbury Ontario I want to build the overhangs so the windows are in shade july and august. What is the suns position ?

  1. Thr sun will be shining over approximately between 21.5 degree north latitude and 5.5 degree north latitude in July and August.


  2. In early July, the sun will rise exactly in the northeast and set in the northwest (45 degrees and 315 degrees, respectively). By late August, it will be much closer to east and west, respectively. This is a good approximation for Sudbury and other southern Canadian cities that are roughly midway between the equator and the north pole.
