Sun Sign or Dominant Sign?

Would a Pisces girl for example that has most of her planets in Aries _which makes Aries her dominant Sign_still be compatible with water signs like a Pisces or would she be more attracted to Fire and Air signs? I'd like to hear your story if you have this case too. Thanks in advance.
