Sun Village or Wyndham Tangerine at good price for Holy Week?

My girlfriend and I want to go to Sun Village Puerto Plata from 3/16 - 3/23, and a few weeks ago we saw it at $172/night, which is pretty low compared to the current prices. Unfortunately, with its unusually high taxes, the cost/night would go up to $215/night.

Anyone know where I can find it for around $150-$170 per night? I saw a travel site that had it at $145, but they were sold out.

We were also thinking of Wyndham Tangerine, but it's currently at $173. I also saw it at $115, but they were also all booked.

We don't want to spend over $160/night.

All these prices are per night for two people.

PS - Please don't answer with other hotel suggestions... I've tried and she's just crazy about going to Sun Village or Tangerine.

What you are asking is impossible for both hotels, during this period. You have 2 choices or take it now or book for later in April. I'm a tour operator here, so I know what I'm talking about. Both hotels are almost full.

For a romantic trip, do the Sun Village.  For a fun trip, do the Tangerine.
