Sun Yang and Wang Shun claim three gold medals in 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals – Swimming news
The 2011 Chinese Long Course Nationals were held in Rizhao, China from September 22-25. In this championship, both renowned athletes of China Sun Yang and Wang Shun gave their best attempts and notched three gold medals apiece.
The session of the meet conducted several matchless races. Firstly, Sun Yang secured the gold medal in the Men’s 200m freestyle, while Yang earned his second gold title of the platform in the Men’s 400m freestyle category. Moreover, Sun earned his third
golden crown on the podium in the Men’s 1500m freestyle final heat. On the other hand, Wang Shun claimed the gold medal in the Men’s 100m freestyle, while Shun secured his second gold title in the 200m Individual Medley. Lastly, Wang Shun earned the golden
crown in the Men’s 400m Individual Medley final race.
Initially, Sun hit the wall in 1 minute and 45.53 seconds to claim the Men’s 200m freestyle title meet of the platform. After the swim, Sun said, “I have not trained systematically since the worlds. I'm happy with the results, no matter it's good or bad.
I hope I can start my steps toward the London Olympic Games through this meet.”
In the corresponding race, Li Yunqi secured silver title in a time of 1 minute and 47.71 seconds. Zhang Zhongchao grabbed bronze medal with a mark of 1 minute and 48.75 seconds.
Afterwards, Sun Yang topped the Men’s 400m freestyle final race with a triumphant mark of 3 minutes and 40.29 seconds. Meanwhile, Li Yunqi earned silver medal on the podium by submitting an impressive time of 3 minutes and 49.17 seconds and Diao Jigong earned
bronze title with a mark of 3 minutes and 51.43 seconds.
In the Men’s 1500m freestyle final heat, Sun Yang claimed his third gold medal on the podium by posting a winning time of 14 minutes and 45.78 seconds. In the corresponding race, Li Yunqi captured the silver medal on the podium by submitting an intriguing
time of 15 minutes and 09.40 seconds, whereas, Wang Kecheng snared bronze medal in 15 minutes and 21.06 seconds.
On the other side, Wang Shun powered the wall in 49.78 seconds to win the Men’s 100m freestyle title of the platform. In the corresponding swim, s**+ Tengfei earned silver medal on the podium by posting a winning mark of 49.85 seconds and Zhang Enjian settled
for bronze with an impressive time of 50.06 seconds.
In addition, Wang Shun took home the golden crown in the Men’s 200m Individual Medley event with a matchless time of 1 minute and 58.56 seconds. Yang Zhixian earned silver medal of the platform by submitting a mark of 2 minutes and 00.19 seconds, while Zhang
Zishan earned bronze title by posting a winning time of 2 minutes and 01.70 seconds.
Last, but not the least, the Men’s 400m Individual Medley title of the platform was clinched by Wang Shun with a sparkling mark of 4 minutes and 11.61 seconds. Meanwhile, AR Huang Chaosheng earned silver title in a time of 4 minutes and 12.54 seconds and
Yang Zhixian snagged bronze medal with a time of 4 minutes and 13.77 seconds.
