Sun Young Yoo able to repeat Kraft Nabisco performance in coming events
South Korean Sun Young Yoo, who racked up her first major title at the Kraft Nabisco Championship 2012 in April,  is ready to take on rivals in the coming CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012, and add yet another
victory to her profile this season.
The CN Canadian Women’s Open is going to be held from August 20-26, at The Vancouver Golf Club, Canada, with a number of key LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) stars in the roster.
Yoo had been winless before grabbing the major title, as she was desperate to win an event after she proved her worth at the Sybase Match Play Championship in May 2010.
However, the South Korean star has managed to end her protracted victory drought this season, but she is still coping with plenty of challenges. So far, Yoo has been able to stay focused on her goals, and is
determined to add more victories to her profile.
Analysts said that although she has had trouble beating her rivals in recent tournaments, she will want to prove her mettle once again at Vancouver.
Analysts also pointed out that it will not be easy for the LPGA titan to outperform fearsome contenders at the CN Canadian Women’s Open 2012. Key players who are confirmed to join the field at the Canadian
Women’s Open 2012 include Na Yeon Choi, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, Stacy Lewis, Lexi Thompson, Lydia Ko, Cristie Kerr, current world number one Yani Tseng and Katherine Hull.
Given her performance at the Kraft Nabisco Championship 2012, Yoo is being regarded as one of the hot favourite contenders for the coveted title at the Vancouver Golf Club.
Speaking to the media at the end of the major battle, the South Korean prodigy had expressed her joy over her win, saying she was very happy to see her name atop the leaderboard of one of the most prestigious
LPGA events.
“Every win is very important, and especially a major. But I didn't really think about the win. I just wanted to think ‑‑ it's a big tournament, right, so I just tried to focus on my game and play some golf
and some fun out there,” the major winner had said.
