Sun Yu trounces Nagisa Shiozawa in qualifying round at Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012
China’s talented player Sun Yu continued her winning run in Women’s Singles qualifying round as she crushed Japan’s Nagisa Shiozawa at the Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012 on Tuesday, November 27, in Macau.
The impressive Sun, who stayed confident in the arena in qualifying round, continued showing up her lofty skills in the arena and remained successful in beating her Japanese challenger while taking just 26 minutes in the arena.
Chinese lady was on a different level as she played attacking badminton while staying fully focused on court and ousted her opponent in a completely lopsided fashion with an inspiring margin.
In the meanwhile, Nagisa was helpless against the power play of her Chinese challenger as she failed to show up her brilliance in the arena. She could not match the pace of rallies and eventually crashed out without creating a strong impact.
In the first set, the in-form Sun delivered a staggering show of fast and attacking badminton in the arena and she occupied the driving seat without facing any considerable problem.
The phenomenal variations in Sun’s strokes and her incredible anticipation maintained her strong position in the arena.
Chinese shuttler proceeded with a terrific speed in the opening half and stayed ahead on the board until the one-minute interval.
After the mid-game break, the confused Nagisa failed to create trouble for her Chinese rival as she could not cope up with the pace of rallies and also lost her focus.
On the contrary, the positive and aggressive play of Sun kept her in a wonderful lead all the way and she ended it up with a superb 21-9 score on the board.
In the second game, Nagisa was again in trouble as she could not produce better form and committed many mistakes that helped Sun to stay far ahead on score board until the break.
After the break, the impressive Chinese shuttler continued putting up stunning show and wrapped up the set with a margin of 21-7.
Sun proved her supremacy in the arena and showed exit to Nagisa in straight sets by putting up a staggering 21-9 and 21-7 score on the board.
