Sunbeam Mixmaster mixer is smoking from the motor...

Question

HELP! I bought this sunbeam mixmaster @ garage sale and it is smoking when I use it? What does this mean and can it be repaired reasonably? Im not sure how old it is either. The WATTS is 175 and 120 VOLTS ac60
This is a stand-up model type with a mixing bowl too.
