Sundance Kid, a bright entry for the Coors Top Club Final at Sheffield on 10th April
Sheffield is to become home for the Coors Top Club Final over 480 metres on Tuesday, 10th April. Competing tonight are Droopys Peaches, Merlins Myth, Sundance Kid, Class Acre, Saint Jack and Due Haste. The prize money of the race is set at £200.
The most convincing entry on the lineup is Sundance Kid, World Class’ five-year-old brindle son out of b***h Droopys Kara. He has won three out of the nine starts that he undertook during the season.
He started off with the season by getting drilled over 500 metres at Sheffield on 1st February. He was done with the track in 30.21 seconds. His seasonal debut was in a Grade A2 500 metres flat race on 9th February at Sheffield. He
settled third behind the 5/4 favourite winner, Ballymac Miriam, who timed the distance in 29.57 seconds. The runner up of the race was Linfit Harrison.
On 17th February, Sundance Kid won the M J M Hairy Balding Ape Classic at Sheffield over 500 metres after clocking the track distance in 29.93 seconds. The 9/4 favourite of the race was at a length’s difference from the runner up Magna Monkey.
Concluding the race third in line behind the winner was Patterdale Rafa.
9th March brought Sundance Kid the second victory of the season as he completed the 500 metres Grade A2 race at Sheffield in 29.81 seconds. He was followed by Azzurro Capo, who took 29.99 seconds to cover the track distance.
The 2/1 favourite of the race, Spire Fan Franky, timed the track distance in 30.05 seconds and thus finished third.
This victory onwards, the next three races reflected Sundance Kid’s consistency with two second scores and a victory. He finished behind Swift Example in the Glennis Watkinson’s 60th Birthday Stakes on 17th March at Sheffield over 500
metres by timing the distance in 29.27 seconds.
He then came second in the Grade A1 The Night Continues At Napoleons Casino on 23rd March at Sheffield after managing the track distance in 29.99 seconds while the winner of the race was Archielonglegs.
On 31st March, Sundance Kid won in a Grade A1 500 metres flat at Sheffield after taking 29.55 seconds to complete the trip.
Sundance Kid has quite high chances of bagging the victory tonight.
