Question:

Sunday London Times Reports...?

by  |  earlier

This morning's email brought a report from the Sunday London Times saying that Bush had given an "...amber light..." to Israel on an attack aimed at Iran's nuclear facilities. The report defines an "amber light" to mean "...go ahead with your planning. Let us know when you are ready."

Although I am running live breaking news alerts, I have yet to see any American confirmation of the report.

Has anyone seen any American validation of the London Times report?

"If Israel and the US fire a bullet or a missile at Iran, its forces will attack the heart of Israel and 32 American bases in the region before the dust from such an attack has settled," Iran's Fars news agency quoted Mojtaba Zolnour as saying. He added that such targets would be "destroyed" by the Iranian counterattack. "

And, no, I haven't found any American newstations talkingabout this. Usually, US news tends to be less informative than say the BBC or other foreign news station. I guess they behave that way to keep people from panicing i guess. THis is some prety serious stuff, though, seeing how if Israel attacks it very well could be the beginning of World War III.

Then again, Iran has vowed the anihalation of Israel. Iran's president said it himself just less than a month ago for like the billionth time. Either way, there's going to be war. If Israel attacks or Iran gets nukes. Either way, its d**n near inevitable. Bleak days ahead, it seems.
