Sunderland: Knockfinisk Jane wins The William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes
Knockfinisk Jane galvanised a mega upset in The William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes by beating the hot favourite hound of the event, Nandos Special, and achieving a magnificent victory at Sunderland greyhound racing track on January 2. It was a Grade A5
race of 450m category.
After breaking from Trap 2, Knockfinisk Jane ran very well throughout the time, and reached the finish line in 28.34 seconds. The black b***h finished 1 length ahead of her potential opponent Citizen Mushy.
Trained by S Linley, the brilliant b***h accomplished her maiden triumph of the calendar year. Starting her career on March 2, 2011 with three consecutive wins, she has got ten victories so far.
The daughter of Ace Hi Rumble, out of Knockfinisk Star demonstrated excellent performance against the tough competitors. Her big show provoked even the critics to applaud her.
Linley was greatly pleased with what his trainee pulled off last night. He was expecting similar sort of outcomes from her during the entire calendar year.
The second top spot in the race went to, Citizen Mushy, who consumed 28.42 seconds to bridge the distance. Breaking from trap 6, the blue dog showed enough resilience against Knockfinisk Jane, but wasn’t able to outstrip her.
The trainee of P Miller has not won a single race since November, 2011. His long losing streak has shattered his morale too. Whelped in October 2009, the son of Droopys Scolari and Carrowkeal Carly commenced his career in July, 2011.
The third top finisher was Nandos Special, who was 6 to 4 favourite choice, but he disappointed his bettors badly. The black and white dog completed the distance in 28.46 seconds after breaking from trap 1. Trailed by half a length, this hound is also
trained by S Linley. The son of Droopys Scholes, out of Floral Beach was whelped in August, 2009.
Among the other three runners, Anfi Jewel finished fourth with a difference of 1 ½ lengths. Zoebellas Dancer got fifth position, while Tullymurry Libra was the tail ender.
