the Stadium of Light and left with all three points after securing a 2-1 win over Sunderland.
So far Sunderland have not managed a win in the Premier League, drawing two games and losing two, leaving them with two points from four games. What’s more disappointing is the fact the Black Cats have lost both their games at the Stadium of Light, which
has left the supporters extremely upset. Some fans have reportedly called for Steve Bruce to be replaced as manager of the club.
Sunderland were amongst the English Premier League clubs that were very active during the summer transfer window. While Bruce offloaded quite a few players during the summer, he brought in about 11 players, who have so far failed to make much of a difference.
According to Bruce, he was aiming for a top six finish this season but the way things are going, they would be lucky to finish in the top half.
However, Bramble felt it was unfair for the supporters to call for Bruce’s replacement so early on in the season. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under-21 international urged the fans to stand behind the English manager, who had led the Black Cats to a tenth place finish
last season. The former Wigan Athletic defender said it would take time for Sunderland to get past their slump and return to winning ways.
Bramble said while speaking to reporters:
“Any time they call for the manager's head, it's unfair. The manager has made some great signings.
He's improved things from last season but it's going to take time to gel. It's not going to happen overnight.”
He was aware that it would take time and asked the fans to be patient. Even though a section of the fans are not satisfied with Bruce, Bramble insisted the entire squad was behind the manager. With some of the new signings still adjusting to the club, he
said they would improve over time. Sunderland host Stoke City in their next Premier League fixture over the weekend.
He continued:
“The players are all behind the gaffer. We've made some fantastic signings and it is going to take us time to bed in.”
