Sunderland manager Steve Bruce all praise for Kenny Dalglish: English Premier League news
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has heaped praise on Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish ahead of the Reds visit to the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
Bruce said, “He has galvanised Liverpool again and got them talked about for the right reasons. I had a conversation with Kenny in the summer and he was distraught over the turmoil at the club.”
Bruce, who played for Dalglish’s fiercest rivals Manchester United during his playing career, has praised the Scot for reviving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809’s miserable 2010-11 season under Roy Hodgson.
“You never associated Liverpool with controversy, or turmoil. That disappointed Kenny. He immediately got the hugest respect from players and supporters. It is a different Liverpool now. So you can only say 'well done Kenny'. He has picked them up by the
boot laces,” added Bruce.
Dalglish replaced Hodgson for his second managerial stint with the club and has helped them to move to the 6th position in the English Premier League table from 12th when Hodgson was sacked.
Dalglish, who had poor managerial spells with Celtic and Newcastle United, helped Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 in winning the Premier League in 1995.
Bruce believes that despite being out for 20 years, Dalglish is the only person who could have galvanised the Reds. The former United defender added that Dalglish has helped the club to move forward again and will continue in the same fashion if he remains
there.
The Liverpool manager has pulled up some great victories since taking the charge at the Reds. His team outplayed Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge and won 3-1 against Manchester United.
The former Celtic manager sold http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for a club record fee of 50 million pounds in January 2011. He replaced him with Luis Suarez and club’s record buy Andy Carroll.
Bruce has hailed Carroll and is hoping that he enjoys a great time at his new club. The 50-year-old revealed that he came close to signing the Liverpool number 9 when he was at Newcastle United and now regrets his decision of overlooking the star after the
Magpies were relegated in 2008.
