Sunderland suspend http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Titus-Bramble-c35166, John O’Shea looks ahead to West Bromwich Albion clash
Titus Bramble, the 30-year-old Sunderland defender, has been suspended by the English Premier League club after he was arrested this Wednesday. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under-21 international was charged with suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a class
A drug. While he was released on bail, the club has decided to take action by suspending him until further notice.
An official statement by the club read:
“Sunderland AFC has confirmed that Titus Bramble has been suspended from duties pending the outcome of a club investigation.
The player will not attend team training or be available for selection for matches during this period.
The club is unable to make any further comment on the matter at present.”
This means Bramble will be unavailable for the clash against West Bromwich Albion this weekend at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland will be looking to bounce back this Saturday after a disappointing loss to newly promoted side Norwich City on Monday. Former
Manchester United defender John O’Shea was confident the Black Cats would return to winning ways over the weekend.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Republic-of-Ireland-c2987 international admitted his side had not been the best against Norwich City, a fixture which they lost 2-1. He revealed they had to maintain their consistency and deliver results like they had against Stoke City. Sunderland secured
their first three points of the new season with a spectacular 4-0 over Stoke City, but since then have failed to retain their form.
O’Shea said while speaking to reporters:
“We know we need to improve, but the players and everyone behind the scenes are working hard to make it happen.
The consistency is what we need to find now. Some of the performances have been so good and others have been so bad.”
O’Shea felt the entire squad was to blame for the poor performances, which saw the Black Cats failing to create enough chances. He urged his side to improve ahead of the West Bromwich Albion clash, which is set to take place at the Black Cats’ home. While
Sunderland have not had the best of starts, West Brom are currently beneath them on the Premier League table, making them favourites to win on Saturday.
He continued:
“We have to find that level we know the players are capable of. There is no better opportunity than at home to West Brom.”
