Sunderlands -- houghton le spring?

has anyone been to houghton le spring in sunderland?? just wana know a bit bout the area if u could help plz . wats is like there ?? thanks in advance =} x

Its like a any other town.

Got a centre

got pubs etc.

just live along the road, small town with shopping centre not very good nightlife only local pubs and working mens clubs. Surrounded by nice countryside and a nature reserve. Excellect transport links to Sunderland and historic Durham. Quite easy to get to Newcastle the party city of the north. And the coast.

not been in 40 yrs,used to live 7mls away. Used to be a pleasant place but expect its swallowed up with new houses now.

Hi, Houghton-le spring,  it has 1 street  of shops, a few nice little pubs, couple of working mens clubs, a good modern school, its on the A690 road,Sunderland to the east ,A19 north/south, West bound to Durham city, and the A1M, Which you can easily get to Darlington to the south, Metro centre and Newcastle to the north, Washington is not very far from Houghton, Overall its not a bad area to live in, hope this is off some help for you.
