Sundin is to sign with Vancouver

Friend of mine told me Sundin told him he's signing with Van this month,he's taking his time as not to upset his Toronto based fans.

I think he wants to win at this stage in his career.  He has all the money he needs.

Makes sense since he doesn't want to play more than 80 games and the Canucks won't make the playoffs again.

Actually, he is leaning towards hanging them up, getting married and raising a family.  He doesn't need the money.

I think the Canucks lost any chance of getting him when Naslund bolted.

You do know Sundin is in Sweden.... so the only way he told your friend is if your friend is there too which I don't think he is!

Really? I was talking to Glenn Healy at lunch today, when low and behold who would walk in? JP Berry. I was like, yo Berry whats up with Sundin, I am tired of waiting for an answer. He said "Why don't you ask him yourself?" So, he drove me to the airport and we flew to Sweden. We caught a car to Sundins place and we were escorted in the gate We had to wait to see him, as Chuck Norris was already there and talking to him. Long story short, Sundin was on a conference call with Brett Favre. They were both giving each other advice on how to milk the public spotlight for waffling on decisions so as to maximize the outer limits on the fans acceptance of horse c**p. So as you can see, it is impossible that your friend talked to him as I was with him.

Why would he sign there.  They only offered him a measly little 10 million a year.  What an insulting offer.

He can go!!!! As a Leafs fan I want him to go so the Leafs can suck even more and get a better draft pick.That is the only way they will get better. He should have gone at the trade deadline to allow them to get young players for him. I have never been a Sundin fan since I loved Wendel Clark so much.

He definitely should go to Vancouver. But, I also heard that if Joe Sakic re-signs in Colorado, Mats might be heading over there, since him and Joe are pretty good friends.
