Question:

Sunflower care... in the winter HELP!?

I planted a sunflower in late April early May. So far, it has only grown its stems without any flowering buds. I do not know much about sunflowers and was wondering in the wintertime (I live in New Jersey) should I bring my sunflower inside the house? Or is it natural for sunflowers to die in the winter and grow once again during springtime?

  1. sunflowers are annuals.. they only grow the one season, then flower, make seeds and then die .... you can save seeds (if you beat the birdies to them!!) and plant them again next year....
