Sunflower!?

A deer ate my sunflower that was in front of my house in a pot! The flower part was growing and the deer bit that part and some of the leaves! I just need to know if it will start growing again or if it will just die! ~Thanks~

  1. It may sprout something new from the base depending on the time of the growing season.  Based on my experience, you most likely you won't see your sunflower until next year unless you landscape and remove it.

  2. Plant another seed and get deer replant.

  3. I love sunflowers; but I don't plant them because of that reason.

My experience with that situation is that they may put out some shoots from the sides but mine never flowered again.

So most of my plants in my yard are deer proof.

Do a Yahoo! search for "deer proof flowers" there's over a million sites just for that plus.

You can do it with other critters too.
