  1. yeah. they do. and the flowers huge.

  2. Sunflower seeds are found in the large "head" of the actual sunflower. From a distance they look brown and completely surround the center piece.

  3. sunflower yellow pettals , the black inner circle of the sun flower is made up of hendreds of seeds.

  4. In the sunflower, the petals are all around the outside of the flower (they are a golden yellow).....the big round (darker) area in the center is made up entirely of sunflower seeds.  Google a picture of a sunflower and you will see what I mean.  The seeds in the center of the flowers are dried and salted for human consumption, but if you leave your sunflowers in your garden when fall comes, the birds will enjoy the seeds ~

  5. Sunflower seeds come from the head of the sunflower. Hense the name.

  6. Sunflower seeds come from sunflowers!

We always plant a few sunflowers in our garden to keep the birds happy.  When the giant head of the flower has drooped after its bloom, then it's ready to shed its seed; the seeds are those black things in the middle of the flower.

There are so many variety of sunflowers, though, but they all produce their ample seedheads after the bloom is over.  Some sunflowers are big, many are small and some look more like daisies.  Regardless, all varieties are big hits with seed-loving birds.

  7. You are wrong. If you've ever grown a sunflower, you would notice that the yellow center of the sunflower begins to turn brown, which indicates the the seeds are forming. The seeds will drop out of the blossom once they're fully formed and the seed will form a new plant.
