  1. I have grown Sunflowers in TX and in TN. They are very hardy and can most likely be grown anywhere.

  2. Start them indoors and transplant them with they are 4-5 inches tall. Sunflowers have problems in soil that is soggy and damp most of the time, so you might try to set them into an elevated bed or in huge pots. There are dwarf sunflowers (3-4 feet tall) that do well in container gardens.

  3. The best time to plant the seeds is between may and July, but no later than august. It usually takes a few days for germination and few weekes until blooming....

  4. I only know from my personal experience, but they virtually grow by themselves here in Tennessee!  Under my birdfeeders - I have TONS of little ones springing up all year long... it's reallly cute!

Maybe check with a local nursery - but Sunflowers LOVE sun - so as long as you have somewhere for them to grow and where you can keep them watered when necessary - I would imagine that you should be able to grow them where you are!

  5. they grow so easy.just plant and water, make sure they are in direct sun ,,have fun and add some miricle grow, they'll grow faster,,,

  6. plant seeds and water them?
