Sung Hyun Ko and Yong Dae Lee secure Men’s Doubles title at India International Challenge
Men’s Doubles experts Sung Hyun Ko and Yong Dae Lee proved their elite skills on court and they managed to claim the title at the Tata Open India International Challenge 2012 on Sunday, December 15, in India.
In the title match, the impressive Sung Hyun and Yong Dae played with terrific speed and overpowered their lower ranked team-mates Gun Woo Cho and Dae Eun Kim in a dominating fashion.
The higher ranked Sung Hyun and Yong Dae, who were the top seeded players in Men’s Doubles main draw of the tournament, showed aggression on court and took just 29 minutes to knock out their rivals.
Top seeded Korean shuttlers showed aggression throughout the final battle and they did not face even a slight problem in winning this match in straight games with a crushing margin on the score board.
On the other hand, the un-seeded Gun Woo and Dae Eun were helpless against the power play of their experienced challengers and they lost the match without even showing their brilliance in the arena.
Sung Hyun and Yong Dae showed their aggression on court from the initial rallies of first set and easily created a wonderful lead on the score board.
The impressive variations in Sung Hyun and Yong Dae’s strokes helped them to continue their supremacy against their compatriots on court.
The top seeded Sung Hyun and Yong Dae progressed with a superb speed and took a staggering lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break in the opening game, the lower ranked Gun Woo and Dae Eun tried to put up strong resistance but they failed to put up strong show and remained struggling throughout the ending half of opening set.
On the other hand, Sung Hyun and Yong Dae remained consistent in executing powerful shots in targeted areas and they easily grabbed the first set with an inspiring score of 21-11.
In the following set, the higher ranked Sung Hyun and Yong Dae did not lose their concentration at any stage in the starting half and took an early lead without facing any considerable problem.
Sung Hyun and Yong Dae were in remarkable form and they did not face any trouble in setting up a huge lead on the score board until the end of opening half.
After the break, Sung Hyun and Yong Dae continued putting up sound performance and remained successful in clinching the game with a staggering 21-10 total on score board.
The in-form Sung Hyun and Yong Dae did not face even a slight trouble from their lower ranked challengers in this Men’s Doubles final battle and easily ended it up in straight games with a crushing margin of 21-11 and 21-10.
