In a recent affair, cricket expert and former legend, Sunil Gavaskar, came out predicting a 70 percent probability for team India's expected whitewash during the upcoming fourth Test match against the English hosts.
The match is set to come out as the final bout of the proceeding Test series, featuring http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and India, and is scheduled to kick off at the Kennington Oval, London, on Thursday, August 18, 2011.
As for Gavaskar’s statement, the former Indian skipper predicted India’s likely defeat in the final game, after the visiting side suffered a humiliating 3-0 loss at the hands of the English, who came out strong and proud, securing the eventual top spot as
the World’s top Test team.
Previously, Gavaskar offered some strong criticism against the Indian side, following their mammoth defeat, worth an innings and 242 runs, during the third game at Edgbaston, Birmingham. The loss was said to be the worst in the history of Indian cricket.
The cricketing expert also slammed the team for not showing interest on the field, citing that some of the players seemed as if they did not even bother.
However, for the upcoming fixture, Gavaskar still believes that the side can still rely on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028, since the current skipper is surely the right man for the job.
The former top-order batsman also added that if India is to earn some footing on the fourth game, the side needs to pay attention to its bowling line-up, since after Zaheer Khan’s abrupt departure, the team is now left with a young and budding roster.
For the matter, Gavaskar stated “I'd look at the bowling changes, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MM-Patel-c1987 must replace Sreesanth", said the former Indian skipper. Zaheer has the experience and others don't. Just like a batsman needs experience to go from 60 to 100, our young boys like
Ishant, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Sreesanth-c2398 and Munaf can get you 3 wickets but they will not be able to go to 5 wickets”.
India’s successive defeat at the hands of the English, surely came as a shock for the former Test champions. With more competition coming http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup winners have to offer.
