Sunni Muslim, Sahih Muslim, and Shia Muslim, etc...are they all the same or different??

Question

If they are all DIFFERENT can you tell me what the differences are? I was accused of slandering the Sunni Muslims, but I thought that there was only ONE Islam and not sects. Can you help me out?

No they are not the same.   The Prophet(s.a.w.s) said that "There are 73 sect in Islam and all of them in the h**l(Fire) except one." The companions asked "Which one is it." He said "The one that I and my companions are."   Which is the Noble Quran and the Sunnah.

sahih muslim-collection of hadiths, not part of what you intend  to ask, sunni muslims-obvious in the name follow the prophets ways or the sunnah,

shia muslim- a faction that believes that Ali should have been the successor(ali was against this so they have no true foundation). (this love from iran person is getting mightingly annoying i wonder if his/her eyes will ever open to the truth),

btw, about 70% of muslims are sunni and then its there are part shias, sufis, and a few others. but you hear about sunni and shia alot because they are the bigger sects. Honestly i weep when i hear the words Muslim sects, because Islam should be one religion. Its sad that people will have different sects just to split. If you have never heard of the different sects then you probably are sunni because it really isnt stressed in the sunni household.

Think about it, Prophet Muhammad was the best muslim right? well shouldnt we follow his sunnah? shouldnt we strive to be like him?

i would like to mention i have read all of sahih bukhari and i have not found huge problems in it, remember there are fake hadiths and there is a big process where historians try to make sure that the hadiths can be traced back to within a few years of the prophets lifetime, if it cannot be traced the hadiths are thrown out. I have read some plenty of bs hadiths such as if women are alone with some water, just alone, they water becomes dirty and no one can use it to make wudu afterwards, obviously this is insane and if it plainly isnt swallowed by a logical mind its obviously wrong plus it couldnt be traced beyond the 1400's way after the prophet muhammad.

Okay look, it is said in I'm pretty sure a hadith [forgive me if I'm wrong]

That there are 74 different sects of Islam and 73 of them will go to h**l.

No one will ever know which sect is the true one, but the one that follows the way of the Prophet (pbuh)

Now I see that as a MAJOR hint towards Sunni, and although I hate categorizing myself when all you need to live a proper Islamic life is the Qur'an and the Sunnah, I am a Sunni

In his hadits Muhammad pbuh said that after his death,all muslims will be divided into 74 groups but only 1 group will go to heaven as the true one.But Muhammad pbuh did not say which one is the best.Sunni muslim is the group who want to continue the islamic religion as has been done by Muhammad pbuh .Sahih muslim is the valid muslim or true muslim where I think it is the same with following the way of Muhammad pbuh.Shia muslim is the group where they recognize only Ali bin Abi Thalib and his descendants as the successor of Muhammad pbuh. They recognized the first khalifah (ruler) after Muhammad pbuh was Ali and  was not Abu Bakar.This group has smaller followers than Sunni muslims,because this belief was against with the way of Muhammad pbuh treated to Abu Bakar,Umar Bin Khattab, and Utsman bin Affan  as his loyal sahabahs. Islam is only one and we are brothers and sisters around the world.We should all be united and we should decrease its differences

There are only two kinds of muslims: Quranite muslims who follow only the quran, which is the only perfect book; and hadith'ite muslims who *rely* on hadith to guide them rather than purely quran even though hadiths are corrupted, don't come from god and were written centuries after the words were said. Sunni, shia, wahabbi, ibadiyya, sufi etc. etc.... these are all hadith'ites, so of course they'll split into sects and argue with each other because *all* collections of hadiths of *all* sects contain some major fabrications, errors and contradictions. Bukhari and Muslims' hadith collection are termed 'sahih' (sahih means authentic) in sunni Islam, but cotain major problems even though they're the most respected hadiths of all. Shia don't seem to reveal their hadiths so openly so I don't know what shia hadiths are like, but they place the deeds and sayings of the Imams alongside the prophet so you can decide what that means.

People follow hadiths but don't even read them. Sahih Bukhari wrote that prophet Muhammad tried to repeatedly commit suicide by throwing himself off cliffs and it's not even ranked as a weak hadith; this was when I was definately turned off hadiths for good. Few sunnis even know this was recorded by their most respected hadith collector- I discovered it on my own by actually reading through the hadith collection (they're not very long. Within a few months you can have read all of Bukhari. If you base your life on sunnah by following Bukhari, you should at least read what he wrote before you follow him).

Also, i wanna warn you about 3 groups of people , u will see many of them here too:

1. Shias: Their belief is pretty much conflicting with the mainstream Islam.

2.Qadiannis: Also known as 'Ahmadias'. They are officially declared as ' Non-Muslims' by all the Muslim nations around the world.

3.Submitters: Also known as 'Progressive Muslims' 'Quranite' etc. They reject Hadiths, which is the 2nd most important source of Shariah. They are also considered as 'Non-Muslims' by most of the Scholars in Islam.

Again, i especially wanna warn you about the Submitters and Qadianis as they are completely out of the fold of Islam.You can study about Shiasm if u want.I personally consider Shias as Muslims but i recommend you to stay away from them for some reasons.Remember Shias only make less than 10% of the total Muslim population.

well done my sunni brothers n sisters.....way to go keep on calling us names n keep on hating us but the truth u cannot bear for a fact is:

Sunni = Quran + Prophet's (S.A.W) sunnah

Shia = Quran +  Prophet's (S.A.W)sunnah + Ahlul bayt ( the family of the Prophet (S.A.W) )

Fear Allah n stop calling us kufar n the wrong ones!
