Today i was talking with someone and we both missed Asr prayer and we were talking about the right way to make it up.

She said that you're supposed to make up what you missed first and then what prayer was in time, which was Maghrib.

So basically it was Maghrib time, and Asr was missed, so she said you make up Asr first, then Maghrib.

I said no you have to make up the prayer that is now (Maghrib) and then the prayer you missed (Asr).

Which is the correct way?

Thank you to all answers. :)

  1. You have to make up for the asr prayer then pray maghrib......

Also try not to miss often ; )

Muhammad K is not from alhul sunna wal jama'ah.

He is a Quranii..... what our scholars identify as kaffirs.

  2. no, you need to do the prayer that is now and then you make up the missed ones, i know that for a fact

  3. Salaam sister.

You are suppose to make up the asr prayer as soon as you remember it. Also due to the fact that you can pray asr until almost sunset it would be easier for you to pray asr first and than magrib. Sorry if i confused you.

Mohamed K. You are required to make up all the prayers that you have ever missed because they are fard. You just cant ask for forgiveness because it has been said that prayer will be one of the first things judged on the day of judgment and if you didn't pray all your wajab prayers than allah will ask about any voluntary prayers and that will count too.

  4. What you missed first.  But don't drag it out..pray short surahs.

Ok lts say its magrib....you do your asr first...it takes about 5 min.....then you die.....well its still magrib time, so you didn't miss your magrib prayer.

If you do magrib first then die...you still missed asr.

Now of course your intention was to replace asr right after magrib.....but thats the reason for which should be done first.

    Here's a similar one:

Question: If one remembers that he has not performed the 'Asr (prayer) except after having performed the Maghrib (prayer), should he (then) perform the 'Asr (prayer) and (then) the Maghrib (prayer) or should he (suffice with) perform the 'Asr (prayer) only?

Response: He should only perform the 'Asr prayer, because he has performed the Maghrib (prayer) at its time, and likewise (it is considered) he has performed the 'Asr (prayer) at it's time since it's time is (considered as such) when one remembers (not having performed it).

  6. If you had time then you can finish the qaza and then the prayer for that wakat.  But if you do not have time

(for time for magrib is too short) then perform magrib and then the qaza

  7. If you miss the prayer deliberately then you can't make it up. If you miss because you forget and you were sleeping then you have do the prayer the moment you remember or you get up. If you delay it deliberately after that then again it is similar to deliberate missing.

In short if you have missed the Asr prayer it was very bad to wait until maghrib time.

  8. Islamic Prayers to be done in time. You can not make up.But you can pray khada (khaza) it is up to Allah (SWT) to accept it or reject it.Allah is the most Gracious and most Merciful.

  9. Well the way I have been taught is that you should make the missed prayers up before you prayer withr in isha nimaz, since withr should be your last prayer of the day. Anytime before then. I've never heard of having to make it up before or after the next prayer, although that is a good thing, you don't put it off till the end of the day!

  10. there is noway you can make up missed prayer,,there is no such thingas Qadha or qaza prayer, its gone ..its gone..the only thing you can do is repent and ask for forgiveness
