  1. Yes, sunrise is defined as the time that the first edge of the Sun rises above the horizon.  Sunset is the time when the last piece of the Sun drops below the horizon.

  2. start at 5:53 its really beautiful

  3. The definition of "sunrise" used by the US Naval Observatory  is the time at which the apparent upper limb of the Sun is on the astronomical horizon.  Depending on if your horizon is on the open ocean, how high above sea level you are, the atmospheric conditions, and if you are at the location used to compute the 5:53 am value, your local sunrise could be plus or minus a few minutes from the published value.

If you are in the extreme north or south (65 degrees N or S latitude), it is possible that sunrise / sunset could be 30 minutes from the published values.
