  1. Their future should they rebuild depends on #1 whether they can unload Shaq #2 and what they get in return. Suns will be better if they get younger big man, reliever PG, and expiring contracts for 2010 salary cap flexibility.

I don't see major rebuilding at this point.

    - Unlikely to find someone to take on Shaq's giant pay and give back better value. Better to wait until Shaq's contract expires and Suns will have tons of cash for free agents.

    - Nash edge is not athleticism or speed, it is his basketball IQ that gets 10 apg. He should not be part of any "rebuild". Suns should reduce his playtime and let him mentor younger PG for the future.

    - Existing team is not bad if players (esp Amare) stay healthy. Still a narrow window left to milk the best out of Shaq and Nash. Legacy will be a big motivator.

    - New coach. More defense. More balanced offensive options. Should be able to use Shaq's size and offset his lack of speed.

  2. dantoni was the 1 to blame he made shaq play a running game, they should have slowed down the game and use shaq's size and power to his advantage, and nash has to learn how to play a slow tempo game

  3. they need to keep Amare, Raja, and Barbosa

I think they should trade over the off season and look for some good trades involving a new SF and PF

  4. yes they should, build around amare, use steve nash as a trade piece before he retires...

  5. I would give all the old men one or two more years to see how they mesh together.  If Shaq can remain somewhat healthy, Suns will be a good team.  Nash still have some gas left in his tank.  A lot of people put Shaq down but they only did that because they didn't like the fact that Shaq diss Kobe but I assure you that Shaq can still play if he is healthy.

  6. Rebuild?  Absolutely not.  Steve Nash is still Steve Nash.  Shaq is still over 7 feet tall and 330 pounds.  They have Amare Stoudemire, Leiando Barbosa , and Grant Hill is still very productive.  Plus they just drafted Robin Lopez.  The role players are good too.  (Bell, Daw, and Barnes)  Top 5 NBA team.

  7. Come on not another one of these "the Suns are too old" man experience and age wins titles (ok and so does defense). You can't tell me the Celtics are a youthful team and they just shut down the young run and gun Lakers. And you can't say the Spurs are young and they won 4 championships, one against they very young Cavs. Dude it doesn't matter how old they are, they can all still play!! Sure Nash is 33 but he is still incredible, and Shaq is 35 but man the guy is still just as big and still clogs the paint, and Amare is 25 (umm thats not old) and he is our leading scorer. Mat Barnes, Barbosa, Diaw, Strawberry, and Tucker are all still in their twentys, how is that too old to play basketball. They don't need to rebuild until they get really old and start retiring. They still are legit competition

  8. Give them next year if things don't work out then maybe rebuild.

  9. Yes.

  10. I think they should because I heard that after Steve Nash's contract ends, he's going to retire... No more MVP for them... It's going to be hard for them to come back if they don't start rebuilding now...
