Sunscreen for swimmers?

How can swimmers prevent getting suntanned when all the sunscreen products say that it shouldn't be kept in water or something?

  1. umm. you know, you can always get waterproof sunscreen

    they sell it at any store. but you have to remember to apply it every two hours like you have to do any other suncreen


  2. I always used a product called Bullfrog.  It is made for use in the water.  There are a couple of other companies than have come out with products.  The key I found is to make sure it is on evenly and it is allowed to fully dry before getting into the water.  With constant exposure, you may have to reapply once or twice during the day.  It normally last 3 to 5 hours.
