Super 14 Rugby 2007.?

Question

Why o why do we do it to ourselves to watch Super 14.

Being a South African supporting locally is a frustration that will probably make me kill myself.

But hey we love rugby so I am going to ask anyone to give me possible solutions for SA rugby problems and which team do you think will take the 2007 Super 14.

Well I'd love to say my team the Waratahs (even though I'm a Queenslander) but any Australian team would suit me fine, as long as it isn't in the hands of the Kiwis. Well my friend I don't think South Africa has that much of a chance cuz' the Aussies and Kiwis will be playing ferociously but I respect SA rugby, I think you guys are doing really well!  This is the leader board from this year, as you can see New Zealand were the toughest but without those 22 or whatever players playing they could have a lousy year. Western Force are the best bets due to their improvement during the APC!

The All Blacks want to rest 22 players for the first 7 rounds of the tournament. Hopefully this will level the playing field.

Why to the South African team struggle!!!

Bulls:

They still make use of the same old game plan.

Cats:

Look very good on paper, but you play rugby on grass

Stormers:

They struggle with away games

Cheetas:

They lack pace in the back line

Sharks:

To inconsistent

Have to say the SA teams are still a long way behind the Kiwi's. They have spread themselves to thin and it will take a few years for the strength in depth to show. Withthe Kiwi's resting 22 players it should make things interesting next year and I think that the Chiefs could be a good shout Waikato have just had a good NPC run and are not that effected by the all blacks rest period.

Being South African rugby is just part of our country and I know the teams struggle in the Super 14, but still it's fun to watch the games and see my team BLue Bulls, always end up on top of the SA teams...lol

I just know that the Crusaders have been doing great and I know New Zealand have been like doing a lot of training prior to the world cup, so I would think they(Crusaders) will take the Super 14 again next season....

I trully beleive next year will see the first South african team take a super rugby title. The standard of this years currie cup without the experienced boks in the mix has allowed the emergence of young talent. Combine this with the fact that most All Blacks will sit out the tournament will see our chances improve.

Anyway a possible solution

SA coaches should meet after one of their teams has faced up to other Aus Kiwi s14 teams and discuss how to beat them.

And in the interests of developing players, the guys who are 3rd choice in their position, should be allowed to go and play for unions such as the Valke or Pumas to get game time. No substitue for Game Time.

Difficult to say who will take it but the Currie Cup final will give an idea in 2 weeks time.

Why we watch super14? Coz we want to see which team stop the ausies and kiwis from humiliating us!!!!

because our boys are missing their biltong and pap when they go overseas......jokes.the real reason is because they have a real hard time because of the distance between sa and australasia.its not so hard for the kiwis and wobblies as they pretty much live close to each other.its gets difficult for them when they come to our lovely shores.they have it easier,travel wise in the long run.

Stormers are a cert for a semi, and watch out for those Cheetahs too - they'll cause a few upsets along the way.
