Super Bowl XLVI: Fourth quarter recap, It’s all over...GIANTS WIN!!!
So the ghosts of the 2008 Super Bowl loss will now be reenergized with some new ghosts of 2012 as the New York Giants complete a brilliant comeback to beat the New England Patriots once more.
The confetti is falling at Lucas Oil Stadium and Manning and co will now go up to claim the shining Super Bowl trophy from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
The Patriots led for most of the fourth quarter by a two-point margin as they led 17-15.
The final minute however, was their undoing.
Manning led the Patriots on a brilliant 88-yard drive from nine plays. Manning finished the drive with a cute pass over to Ahmed Bradshaw who lunged at the ball, beat the Patriots defenseman covering him and passed over the end-zone to glorious victory.
It was 21-17 and 55-seconds left in the quarter and not even Tom Brady could save the Patriots.
Much thanks to Manning and Bradshaw's touchdown in the final seconds, Giants will go back to New York all cheery and in party-mode.
What an end to a wonderful, heart pounding NFL Season.
