Super Great Freshman Year!?!?! How to?????

Question

I'd like to have a well rounded high school experience, so I want to run for student council this year (9th grade!). But the problem is, no one really knows me to well. How can I get people to vote for me?

I'm a senior this year and I can relate, I have great friends but not everyone knows me, I guess the best thing you can do is try to be more social, talk to people even if you dont know them find something in common with everyone you talk too, which can be hard if you go to a big school, get ur name out there and don't be shy, show that you are an easy-going fun person, and most importantly be WHO YOU ARE not what you think people want you to be, also be honest and friendly, don't show bad behavior like puting people down or using profanity, show that you are a good role model, and people should be attracted to being in your presence,

Most Importantly, Have fun because high school doesnt last long, and you want your senior year to be the best!

Also, don't comform to people, it's basically suicide.

in my school we voted for some nobody that was just terrible because he did funny stunts

at my school, it seemed that it was the more popular kids that got voted for student coucil stuff, even if they were kind of stupid.

if you want people to vote for you, try to get to know everyone and make a good impression. best of luck.

remember that student council is usually a popularity council, so don't fret about makin it right away, but good initiative.  for a good freshman year, i suggest having fun but working hard.  be friendly and make a set of good friends who will do a lot for you.  freshman year is supposed to get your feet wet for high school and the other years are supposed to prepare you for life, but usually don't.  you should definitly just have fun, and remember to always have a positive attitude.
