Super Hard Football Question about getting in to a fight?

today at our teams scrimmage I got face masked while on Offense then after a few more plays i was on defense and the guy who faced masked me was on the end so I blind sighted him on the side.(I'm not on the same team as him)

after that he tried to come at me a fellow teammate stopped him and he took of his helmet.

WHAT SHOULD I HAVE DONE

A. walked away

B. Punched him in the face/gut

C. Push him and leave

D. Crack him every play

Crack him every play. That's just being a good team mate for your team. You keep a level head while frustrating one of their players and taking him away from the game. Rise above this cheater and show him that you are not only physically superior, but mentally as well.

This is not a hard question...

it feels more like a matter of etiquette and you're looking for permission to ***** slap this novice.

Look...you play football.

Do you think this will be the only time you'll ever be face-masked?

Focusing your attention on him takes you, as a Defensive player, out of the play reducing your Defense down to 10 men. So cracking him every play is not only immature, and a waste of time, but it also hurts the team.

Punching him anywhere, pushing him, or saying stupid things like words you can't spell and probably can't pronounce are not only going to draw a penalty - but they make you look stupid and undisciplined.

Talking smack on the field is bush league for players that don't have the skill to defeat an opponent.

What you do is...play football.

If it was blatant, or repetitive, notify the referee so he can keep an eye out for it.

If you can't defeat the face mask by being stronger, then get lower.

Don't waste a single thread of energy on getting even.

Not a single second thought.

You were face-masked.

Let it go.

Play football and play hard - but don't make it personal.

When you make it personal, not only do YOU lose...but so does your team.

Side note:

...the word is promiscuous - it equates to casual s*x. Some people are ok with this.

Cheap and dirty play like carrying flexall in a pad on the field can not only get you hurt - but can get you banned from the sport.

Waiting for after the game to have a fight will land you in jail and ruin a perfectly good career...or...get you killed.

It's good to have some heart...

it's fine to want to fight back...

but the winner will simply play the sport better.

Don't let someone from the other team get into your head like that.  Stick to your game.  

Let me tell you what would happen in a game.

A - Nothing to you.  He would get a 15 yard penalty and they would keep an eye on him.

B - You get 15 yards and ejected.   In most leagues, you'll sit out an additional game.  In my area, you'd also be called with your coach, school administrator, and a parent to meet with the commissioner and take an all-day sportsmanship class on a Saturday.

C - You either get talked to by the officials and have them looking out for you the rest of the game, or you get a 15 yard penalty.

D - Same as C since you would no doubt be doing this unnecessarily.

Also, options B, C, and D will justifiably earn you the wrath of your coach.

you should have done this

1. say something about his girlfriend being permiscuous

     matter of fact just say that, he may not know what permiscuous means so he'll be thinking about it

2. i always kept a sandwich bag of flexall 454 in my hip pad and if a player was dirty i would reach down and put flexall on my hand and you know next pile up i'd swipe it on their eyebrow, sweat would start rolling and before you know it they're blind, haha,, and i mean they can't catch you because football players are supposed to smell like flexall

3. the old helmet in the chin, this works for linemen you fire off the snap and get into the offensive lineman put the forehead area in their numbers and raise up, the helmet should catch under their face mask, and your face mask catches their chin, it will gash it good,

those are a few of the dirty tricks that you can use,

A. just walk away and play ball. if you play offense you will probably get face masked alot. Its not a big deal. Keep your cool, stay focused, and play ball. Now if he keeps doing it to you, then you knock his d**n head off.
