I plan on getting a robo and this is so far the best cage i've found based on reviews. If there is a better cage please say so.

P.S. I might get this:http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80098516 from Ikea and make it into a bin cage(i'm aware that it rolls and

I will do something about it along with getting a lid) please tell me if it's a good idea.

  1. i would get a wire cage because that bin has no ventilation

  2. This is a great idea!

  3. I don't think your hamster will be able to breathe, even if you put holes in it, I don't think it will be enough. Get one at Petco, but NEVER TRY PETSMART!!!! Ask a sales person to help you find the right cage for your type of hamster. It should have food and water bowls, a place for them to sleep, a place for them to climb, a place for them to hide, and it should be easy to clean. The cages can grow anywhere froM $12.99-$39.99. Good luck!

  4. Out of experience, I would say, don't buy any marketed hamster cages. Instead, buy a glass aquarium. Find the perfect size for your needs, and make sure to buy a lid for it. If you go to petco, you can find a good variety of sizes (both lids and aquariums). Also, they are usually cheaper, if not just as much as buying a normal hamster cage. And the best part is, they don't get worn looking like normal hamster cages. And the cleaning, so much easier! Plus, they don't hold the urnine smell like the plastic cages.

Just make sure to buy them little tunnels, etc to stick in there to play with.

    Good luck!
