Super Rugby: Crusaders include Zac Guildford, Wyatt Crockett for Twickenham clash
The Crusaders have made two changes for their next clash against the Sharks at Twickenham stadium.
They have included Zac Guilford and Wyatt Crockett in the side for Sunday’s clash in London. Guilford will play his first match of the current Super Rugby season. He will replace Adam Whitelock who was injured in last match against the Highlanders.
The loose head Crockett is replacing Ben Franks who has been sidelined due to inconsistent performance. This is going to be a tough competition against the Sharks for Crusaders as the sixth round of the season is about to start. The Crusaders have won three
matches earlier on whereas the Sharks have secured four out of five under their belts.
The Crusaders have come to London after a very frantic week and they are trying to forget about their past performance. Their coach Todd Blackadder is expecting that his team will perform better in the crucial match.
Blackadder said, “It will be a big test for us, but I'm confident we can put in a performance to be proud of. We're looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd - the atmosphere and sense of occasion should be superb.”
Huge crowd is expected to come out on the day as most of the tickets have been sold. The Twickenham stadium in London has the capacity of 55,000 supporters and 30,000 tickets were sold in the first week after the confirmation of fixture. The match is actually
intended to help the earthquake-hit people of Christchurch.
Dan Carter is expecting tight encounter on Sunday night against the Sharks as he thinks the opposite side a blend of good players.
Talking to the press, he said, “They are a team full of big, fast men and it will be a very tough match. They have strengths across the park, but we've prepared well for them. We are all looking forward to playing at Twickenham - it's easy to get excited
about this one.”
