Super Rugby update: Adriaan Strauss ruled out again
Adriaan Strauss, the hooker for Cheetahs, has been itching to make a comeback to his side. The action starts this Saturday against Hurricanes in Bloemfontein. Strauss has been out of the field for long due to a broken hand. He will remain on the benches
for the upcoming game.
Jan Adriaan Strauss, who plays as a hooker for Free State Cheetahs in Super 14 and Currie Cup, has also played for the South African national team making his debut for Springboks in the 2008 Tri Nations against the Wallabies. Since then he has earned nine
international caps for his side.
The squad changes in Cheetahs have been expected considering the previous match. The defeat, 24-21, to Highlanders exposed the weakness in the line-up.
Barry Geel, who replaced Straus, will play at his regular position, inside center. Wilmaure Louw will be on the benches with Rayno Benjamin taking his place on the left wing.
