  1. Hiya !

You really shouldn't have tried to handle him for at LEAST a week after you got him !

He needs time to aclimatise himself to his new surrooundings.  He's probably still stessed from the change of habitat !

I suggest you invest in a pair of gloves to handle him until he gets used to you

  2. if not that he could be shedding or maybe just really hungry if you have any animals with fur and you smell like them you snake will get a bit curious

  3. It is scared and hungry. No snake is AGGRESSIVE unless it is going to eat you. It is defensive and scared you are going to eat it.

  4. As was suggested get some gloves and start handling it a least once a day for 5 to 10 minutes to start with. You need to gain its trust.

One thing you can do is just dangle your hand (gloved if need be) inside the tank at the opposite end of where the snake is. Do that for about 5 to 15 minutes a day for about a week. Boring I know, but it will help the snake recognize your odor and not associate it with something trying to stalk and kill it.

I personally would try just handling it, but if it's so bad you can't try sticking your hand in there like I said.

Chance are you'll get bit and lose a little blood here and there so just decide you're going to do it and do it.
