  1. Super Beetle had a rounded windshield. The Beetle had a flat windshield. The SB had front struts. B had shocks. SB came with a 1900cc engine.

  2. Zaccc is correct.

  3. should have badges.....if not you'll likely find it on the engine....cause all the Bugs had the same outsides.

www.google.com  or ask Volkswagon (they were still being made in Germany back then.)

  4. The easiest way to tell is just look at the front end.The Super beetle is longer and more snub nosed in the front.Next just look under the front fender,if you see struts it's a super beetle

  5. The Super Beetles were made in 1974.

  6. super beetles have struts in the front and a curved windshield in 73  also a bigger dash and a bigger trunk wider front hood   this link should have every answer youll need  about the differences http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtop...

super beetles were made from 1971 to 1979 not all beetles were the same on the outside they had lots of changes

  7. the best way to tell is to look in the front at where the spare tire is. if the tire is standing up in the very nose of the car its a standard beetle. if the tire is laying down on its side you have a super beetle. this is the best way to tell because on the 71 and 72 super models the windshield is not curved so without looking under the hood you can hardly tell. unless you notice the 1.5 inch longer wheelbase designed for a smoother ride. haha
