  1. Yea i reckon a board would be sweet, good for those fatter days

whent the waves don't offer to much power.

For your board, you should get it about 2 inches shorter than your

normal short board as these types of boards are often thicker and really wider.

This makes them paddle really fast which can be a nice suprise after surfing your

    shortboard for a while.

Have fun, get some waves for me i have a broken arm and am out

    for at least 6 weeks.

  2. You should look at a fish or one of the hybrids. I've been riding a Webber with a deep double concave and it's incredible. smooth and fast. I'm 5'11" and riding a 5'3" and having a ball. Check out the site it's got plenty of info on each model and you can order custom or off the shelf.

Check out the mini fish - its not in the navigation it seems but you can get to it from the homepage I think.

  3. Go to a surf shop and ask there. Go to a real surf shop, not a bathing suit store that sells some surfboards. Right now, there are lots of neat hybrids on the market. I have one made by a local east coast shaper, and it's perfect me. See the products in your local socal shops (local - socal - that's clever), and listen to the surfers there. Out here in cyberspace, we all have opinions, but I wouldn't trust us. If I wanted to, I could tell you I'm 6'00" 180 and ride a really cool board, but in real life, I'm 5'10", 220, but I do ride some really cool boards.
