  1. I don't watch the show.

But some Yogi's and Guru's in india have claimed levitation.

    Jesus walked on water.

There have been a number of unexplainable healers, like many Catholic Saints.

Nostradamus was said to have a number of special powers, as was Rasputin, but neither were super heroes, unless you're amy Rigby who wrote a cool song about the later.

Einstein may have had special brain properties. They have it preserved at Harvard or something.

  2. get real

  3. People like yossarain can be considered as hero. you will understand what i mean

  4. not that i ever heard of

  5. I ve heard of a mother lifting a car to save her child who was underneath it

It was in a paper  a few years back

was a documentary on tv about this an d scientifically they said that there is an ability in stressful situations to have superstrength in emergencies

    weird and very interesting

  6. No, and it's so silly to even ask.

  7. Through out history there have been people who have extrodinary abilities. WW 2

audy Murphy the most decorated soldier was one, but some say he was just lucky and took many chances.

When I was a kid there was a man on television who held back two small aircraft from flying with chains.

    BB

  8. People can do strange things worthy of a superhero, but usually it is the result of learning and wisdom rather than, say, radioactive waste. Or mutant spiders.

And those that can do cool things don't wear capes and costumes. I wouldn't be caught dead looking like superman, personally. (Clothing-wise, that is).

  9. yeah me i have the power to answer weird questions.

  10. during the cold war there was a russion women with telikinesis and the cia has been doing remote viewing experiments (project icarus)

  11. IN my opinion, the MAJOR defining characteristic of a super hero is spandex pants, and by this measure I saw the fattest super hero ever at the gym last week. If I had to guess, I would say she was "cottage cheese girl," and her power was forcing people to throw up in their mouths without even saying a word or touching you.

  12. Personally, I am of the opinion that it's either happening already to some degree, or will do so within the next 10-15 years.  Just keep in mind though that if you are looking for "Heroes" caliber-stuff, you are going to be dealing with people who for the most part don't really have the best handle yet on the things they do.

And I really do suspect that at least early on, things are going to be *rare*.  As in, this will likely be a one in a million shot.  Which in a world whose population is six *billion* people, would leave us with 6,000 empowereds out there, and maybe a third to half of them still infants or small children at present.

And in the United States?  It would be in rare supply, at most 300 people (assuming that being in a rich nation doesn't slow the evolution of the species down further still).

So yeah, I'd say give it some time.  And look for a "tipping point" or some sort of trigger that forces potential empowereds to adapt *quickly or die*.  I'm personally placing my bets on the earth's magnetic field going nutso and triggering this, since it's been getting less stable by leaps and bounds for years now.  Search the link below for "geo-dynamo" and "field inversion" for more details:

I hope this helps out a little, sorry I don't have any leads as yet.  My buddies in real-life talk a lot about the movie "Powder" as being based in real events but that is a *movie* for you.... o_o

  13. an example of people with extraordinary abilities are the people who help in your neighborhood,in the nation,in the world, when help is needed, and those are real!

  14. Well, in a way... yes. But I wouldn't define them as "Heroes" at all - they are more like people who can do strange things...

    Ok, assuming you want examples...

    * There are a lot of Chinese Monks who can master "Chi" (a life force) to do amazing things like, block out pain and knock down people with invisible balls of energy.

    * Some people in India who can master Yoga (called Yogi's) can perform amazing things like "Walking on water" (which I have never actually seen), levitation, and walking on hot coals with bare feet. Many tribal cultures can also walk on extremely hot coals and some can even walk on fire (without protection).

    * There are some people who can put their hand into burning hot oil (when cooking) to remove food. When they take their hands out of the extremely burning, hot oil – their hands remain in one piece – with no any burn marks!

    * There are some who claim to have telepathy, telekinesis and such. These abilities are considered somewhat psychic - because they include mastering a force science has yet to understand or perhaps discover. The most famous case was that of a guy named Uri Geller, he could bend spoons, make watches speed up or slow down, and even describe hidden drawings or pictures. Despite this, he was given a hard time because many thought his ‘psychic abilities’ were faked.

    * There was one guy I saw a photo of who had the ability to light a light bulb by holding it in his fingertips. Over the years, there have also been people who accidentally attach/attract metal objects to their skin.

    * Then there are those cases of Stigmata – people who develop the same wounds of Jesus Christ around days like Easter and Christmas… they bleed from their forehead, palms and/or sole’s of their feet.

I recommend checking out this website: http://www.mysteriouspeople.com/Strange-... it has a lot of interesting abilities on there, including a guy with X-ray vision.
