In the word "sens" as in meaning and sense

"ont beaucoup de sens"

how do you pronounce sens? to you say the s at the end or is it silent?

Phonetically it should be pronounced:

saahns (aa as in awe)

If you do not pronounce the final S you will be saying saahn...which means without (sans).

"Ont beaucoup de sens."

translates as "Make a lot of sense."

If I remember correctly, the s needs to be pronounced.  Which it would be pronounced S-ah-n-s.

You don't have to pronounce it at the end of 'sans' nor 'cents' nor 'sangs'.
