I'm having my 15th birthday party and the theme is france. It is only six girls. I need breakfast, dinner, and snacks, that are very very simple and my friends are familiar with. For example, I will make crepes and croissants for breakfast. But what about dinner??? Thanks:)

  1. okay.. here's my idea..

    ideas for the party:

Ask your guests arrive in wool berets and scarves. Have a contest for the best dressed, or most authentically French!

For a bistro look, use the classic blue and white checked material as a tablecloth, place-mats, and napkins. Tie a cloth around your wine bottle.

Set small pots of herbs in front of each place setting.

Decorate with red, white, and blue streamers and tourist maps of France. Check local import stores for inexpensive French art posters

    MAIN DISH-

    French Onion Soup-http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1718,150...

    Croque monsieur Sandwich- http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1744,152...

    FINGER FOODS AND PASTRIES

French Bread/ baguette- im sure you can pick one of these up at a local supermarket. Panera Bread has the BEST ones.

    Cheese trays

French Croissant-http://www.ochef.com/r203.htm ( these are hard to make.. i would suggest picking them up at a store too)

    BREAKFAST-

Croissant French Toast with Soft Caramel Apples- http://www.razzledazzlerecipes.com/valen...

  2. Try "Quiche Lorraine" or "Hachis Parmentier". Onion soup would be fine two. Do not forget grated cheese (emmental) for the soup.

For snacks: garlic bread ? Most French people I know would rather fancy some "charcuterie" or cheese on bread rather than snacks.

    Happy birthday !
