Superb Books for a 12yo boy?

I Have read many books such as The Lord of The Flies, Fahernheit 451, 1984, and lots more.

p.s. I am a very advanced reader

Harry Potter.  This is a great series for any level.  Even as an advanced level you can analyze her ability to write.

Of course, there is also authors like Tolkien, Crichton, and Dan Brown.  Anthony Horowitz is pretty popular, but not necessarily an advanced read.

Try the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud.  Its perfect.  Its about a magician and a demon in London.  I think you'll really enjoy it.

I'm 13, and I recommend: Lord of the rings, or the hobbit if you're not interested in that. (they're pretty different!) Eragon series. very good. Hm... Alex Rider series? though that might be a bit easy if you're as advanced as you say.

There are lots of books you might enjoy but I highly recommend the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series...there are 4 in the series now.

The first is The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.

Below is a summary--they are great!

Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson learns he is a demigod, the son of a mortal woman and Poseidon, god of the sea. His mother sends him to a summer camp for demigods where he and his new friends set out on a quest to prevent a war between the gods.

Other great authors for your age:  Will Hobbs, Susan Cooper, Lloyd Alexander, Eoin Colfer and Nancy Farmer.  The Alex Rider books someone else suggested also very good--high suspense spy novels for teens. Visit your local library for more personalized suggestions...enjoy!

I would definetly recommend the alex rider books. i'm 15 and i think they're fab!!!! Also try darren shan!!
